We studied US Geography as a family in the 2003/2004 school year.  It was a rewarding experience as we learned about so many interesting places.  We hope to be able to visit many of those places someday.  To share what we had learned, we took part in an Around the World Tour (Geography Fair) with other homeschoolers in May 2004.  It was an enjoyable experience.

We have chosen to include US Geography as a part of Grade 5 & Grade 8 Social Studies.  Of course it can be studied at any time one of our children shows an interest as well.  It is one of my goals, as an adult scholar, to create a notebook on all 50 states.  Studying US Geography as a family sparked my interest to learn more.  I will be starting with Delaware, as it was the first state.
