Shakespeare for 2008

"What a piece of work is man! how noble in reason! how infinite in faculty! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!" Hamlet quote (Act II, Sc. II).
~ William Shakespeare

Shakespeare Overview for 2008

This year we will be studying three works of Shakespeare.

Hamlet

The Merry Wives of Windsor

Shakespeare's Sonnets

It is recommended that you keep a notebook of thoughts and impressions as you study each work.  You may also want to have a dictionary handy and look up the more difficult words.  The Folger Library editions of these works or the Signet Classic editions are recommended.  There are online SparkNotes study guides you can use to assist your study as well.
