Divinity
Guide
for 2016
Mountaineer Level
1. Read from the Book of Mormon regularly (daily if
possible, even if only 1 verse).
2. Read and study the Book of Mormon to be
prepared for the
Gospel Doctrine lesson each week. (Refer to the Book of Mormon
Class Member Study Guide)
3. Read and be prepared for the Relief Society Lessons
from the Teachings
of Presidents of the Church: Howard W. Hunter. Usually there are
2
of these
lessons each month. Check your own ward/stake calendar and schedule to
see what you need to read. Read these lessons before
they are covered in R.S if possible.
4. Keep a Divinity Journal. In the journal
you
can record any thoughts, impressions and spiritual experiences you may
have during your study. You could list scriptures that influence
you. Also include copywork of the hymns you memorize, passages
from
any of the readings, and scriptures you especially like. Writing
summaries of the readings could also be an aspect of the Divinity
Journal.
Inspirator Level
1. Complete all assignments from the Mountaineer level.
2. Make a goal to attend the temple at least once
a month.
If you have not been to the temple, make a goal to prepare
yourself to attend by the end of the year. Take your own family
names if possible.
3.
Read your patriarchal blessing monthly. Let it be a
guide for your life. If you have not yet received one, prepare
yourself to receive it by the end of the year.
4. Read each month's Ensign magazine from cover to
cover. If you would like to spread the conference issues out
longer (May and November), you can choose to read 2 or 3 articles a
week. Then in the months of May and November you can catch up on
other Ensigns you may not have finished yet.
Adventurer Level
1. Complete all assignments from the Mountaineer &
Inspirator levels.
2. Read Daughters in My
Kingdom. This book can be completed
quickly. You may wish to read it more than once. Take notes
for your Divinity Journal.
