Lesson 1

Read President Hinckley's comments on "Be Smart" from his talk "A Prophets Counsel and Prayer for Youth" (New Era - Jan. 2001, pg. 4) or "The Prophet's Counsel: The Six Bs" (Friend - Feb. 2001, pg. 25)
Read scriptures on learning and education: Proverbs 1:5, 2 Nephi 9:29, Daniel 1:17, etc.
Sing Hymn # 277 As I Search the Holy Scriptures.

Lesson 2

Read "On Reading Books" in Talks to Boys by Eleanor A. Hunter.
Create a list of books (for each family member) to read to increase learning in the home.
Sing "Search, Ponder, and Pray" Children's Songbook pg. 109.

Lesson 3

Read "Be Smart" (New Era - Aug. 2002, pg. 31)
Sing Hymn # 272 Oh Say, What is Truth?

Lesson 4

Read excerpts from Chapter 5: Learning: "With All Thy Getting Get Understanding" in President Hinckley's book Standing for Something.
Sing: "Go the Second Mile" Children's Songbook pg. 167.
Plan a family learning project.
