A Musical Year Through Hymn & Song

This year I want to help my children gain a great appreciation for the beautiful hymns and children's songs that have been written for LDS church and home use.  I hope they will learn to love singing praises to the Lord and begin to understand the spiritual messages contained in each hymn or song.  J. Reuben Clark, Jr. once said, "We get nearer to the Lord through music than perhaps through any other thing except prayer."  I believe this is true.  I know that when our home is filled with sacred music we feel more peace and happiness and our family unity is strengthened. ~Katrina Lybbert
