Babies
grow into toddlers and become much more active at this age. Reading
time can still be a very special time between parent and child. If
your child won't sit still for a whole book, just read a page or two at
a time. I have even read to my children when they were eating in
their high chair. Reading to a child at this age just takes a little
more imagination. During this year they will start gaining a speaking
vocabulary. Books will help them as they learn to speak.
