Music and Art for 2011

Music and Art Overview for 2011

Mountaineer:

Choose one instrument or art medium you would like to learn.  Acquire the instrument &/or supplies.  Find a teacher if you need one.

Inspirator:

Set up a practice schedule or art session time regularly and stick to it as best you can.  An instrument you may wish to practice daily.  For an art medium you could set up a weekly schedule.

Adventurer:

Set a goal that you will provide a concert or art show at the end of the year to showcase what you have learned.  Invite your friends and family.

Summiteer:

Choose a second instrument or art medium and complete the Adventurer level for both choices.  

For example:

Learn 2 instruments to the Adventurer level.

Learn 2 art mediums to the Adventurer level.

Learn 1 instrument and 1 art medium to the Adventurer level.

In music you can learn a new musical instrument, start to learn one for the first time, or just continue practicing an instrument you already know.  You may also want to join your ward choir and improve your vocal skills.  

For art you can choose to develop skill in any medium that interests you.  You can choose from drawing, water color, oil painting, pastels, clay, paper crafts, card making, lettering, ink drawings, colored pencil, printmaking, graphic design, mosaics, stained glass, sculpture, ceramics, sand art and more.
